Bamu employees stages agitation

Aurangabad, July 1:

Employees of all non-agriculture universities of the State started agitating for their different demands, including payscale and releasing arrears of Seventh Pay Commission recommendations.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, State unit vice-president of Karmachari Mahasangh Dr Kailas Pathrikar said that the employees should get the new pay commission arrears.

A delegation of the employees union met the higher and technical education minister Uday Samant recently for their different demands.

Union president Ajay Deshmukh, Dr Kailas Pathrikar, its Marathwada coordinator Anil Khamgaonkar and Manoj Shete were present.

Meanwhile, members of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University non-teaching employees staged agitation (Dwar Sabha) today and submitted a memorandum to the vice-chancellor. Bamu employees union president Parvat Kasure, deputy registrar Dilip Bharad and Dr Digamber Netke, Prakash Akde and others were present.

Their other demands included the benefit of first promotion provided in restructuring the salary of employees between 2006 to December 2010 should not be withdrawn, arrears of 58 months of as per the recommendations of new pay commissions on the line of other Government employees.
