Aurangabad, May 9:

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada Univerity (Bamu) signed a memorandum of understanding with American-based Garje Marathi Global (GMG) on Sunday to provide training and support to young entrepreneurs.

Addressing an online press conference here on Sunday, vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole said researchers and youths from Marathwada who have tremendous potential will get guidance from GMG.

GMG president Anand Ganu and secretary Sudhir Kadam (Sanfrancisco, America) and Alankar Joshi were also present for the briefing.

Sudhir Kadam said that young entrepreneurs would be imparted 16 weeks of free online training on the line of silicon valley.

He said that all the services provided through Garje Maharashtra Global Academy are free of cost.

“The skills of participants will be enhanced. Those who are trained in our course will get not ideas and will be able to give a presentation before their investors, GMG is a platform for 'Non-Resident Marathi' and 'Back to Motherland Marathi' who value knowledge, education and entrepreneurship. GMG has four main objectives-'networking, mentoring, giving back to society and to our roots and celebrating the success of Marathi around the world-," he said.

GMG's mentorship programme is for connecting today’s prominent, successful and high achievers Marathi (Mentors) with tomorrow’s prominent successful and high achiever Marathi.

Kadam said that they have embarked on a very ambitious social initiative, ‘Saksham’ (Enabled). GMG Saksham is a technology-driven knowledge dissemination platform open to students of Maharashtra. GMG Foundation Saksham’s vision is to create a platform for connecting deserving and desirous students from Maharashtra to the global community of professionals, academics and entrepreneurs. The platform will help these students via regular webinars, tutorials to learn, gain knowledge and be future-ready.
