Aurangabad, Oct 23:

A builder and an agent duped a retired police officer by not making the registered sale-deed of Rs 7.5 lakh taken from him for a flat. A case has been registered at the Pundliknagar police station against builder, Nandkumar Baburao Tawade (Khinvasara Park, Ulkanagari) and agent Yogesh Prabhakar Borse (N-6, Avishkar Colony, Cidco).

According to the details, complainant Sudhakar Vikram Phad (N-4, Cidco) wanted to purchase a flat in the city. Agent Borse told Phad that there is a flat available at Nishigandha Apartment in the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) owned by builder Tawade. The flat was under construction at that time. Phad selected two flats and the price of two flats were filed Rs 30 lakh. Accordingly, Phad paid Rs 15 lakh through RTGS to builder Tawade on November 11, 2017 and the sale-deed of both the flats were done on November 16, 2017. The builder assured Phad to give the possession of the flats within six to eight months. Later, Tawade’s wife called Phad and requested him to take the money of one of the flat (Rs 7.5 lakh) back and accordingly, Rs 7.5 lakh were transferred on Phad’s account in 2019 through RTGS. Then, Phad asked the builder to make the registered sale-deep in his name. However, Tawade always ignored giving various reasons. Phad then lodged a complaint at the Pundliknagar police station.
