A 33-year-old youth from Babhulgaon Budruk (Vaijapur tehsil) was killed on the spot and another injured after a speeding car hit their Bullet motorcycle at 1 pm on Monday near Wakhari (Nandgaon tehsil) on the Nandgaon–Malegaon highway in Nashik district.
The deceased, Salman Shaikh (33), was riding pillion, while Riyaz Shaikh sustained injuries and was admitted to a hospital in Malegaon by locals. The duo had left at 11 am to attend a walima ceremony in Malegaon when the car struck them near a curve. Nandgaon police conducted a panchnama, and after post-mortem at the Nandgaon Rural Hospital, the body was handed over to relatives. Salman was buried at 10 pm at Babhulgaon Budruk cemetery. He is survived by his parents, three brothers, a sister, wife, and two young daughters.
