Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

The shortage of petrol, diesel, and LPG gas has continued for four days. We conducted an inspection of city pumps on Friday between 4 pm and 5 pm, visiting 44 pumps to assess fuel availability. Of these, 25 pumps had completely run out of petrol and diesel, while the remaining 19 had stock but saw long queues of vehicles.

Jalna Road, considered the city’s lifeline, has 15 pumps from Nagar Naka to Jijau Chowk (Cambridge). On Friday evening, 9 of these were closed. At four gas pumps between Chikalthana and Jijau Chowk, long queues of four-wheelers and auto-rickshaws were seen. In the southern part of Jalna Road, 7 pumps were operational, but only 3 at Pundliknagar Road, Sutgirni Chowk, and the stretch between Seven Hills and Gajanan Maharaj Mandir Road had fuel. Elsewhere, pumps in Ulkanagari, Bansilal Nagar, Osmanpura, Gopal T, and Ramanagar displayed ‘No Stock’ boards, causing frustration among motorists. On the route from Seven Hills to the Divisional Commissioner’s office, fuel was available at four pumps, but queues were heavier than usual. At Amberwadikar pump between Seven Hills and Centrak Naka, fuel shortage forced closure. Police pumps at Hudco, the old Old Octroi Checkpost to Roshan Gate Road Muncipal Corporation pump, and Delhi Gate pump were operating, drawing crowds.

-----

Jalgaon Road: Of four pumps between Cidco Bus Stand and Harsul T-Point, two were closed. One pump at Cidco N-7 reopened after a tanker arrived in the afternoon. The Harsul T-Point pump saw heavy vehicle queues since morning.

------

Beed Bypass: Of 11 pumps on Beed Bypass, only 2 had sufficient fuel between 4 pm and 5 pm on Friday; the remaining 9 displayed ‘No Stock’ boards. Along the stretch from Mahanubhav Ashram Chowk to Jhalta Phata, there are 11 pumps 5 Indian Oil, 2 Hindustan Petroleum, 3 Bharat Petroleum, and 1 Naira Company. Only two Indian Oil pumps were operational, with long queues.
