Aurangabad, Nov 22:

In all, 9285 Covid tests were conducted during 21 days of November in the rural areas of Aurangabad tehsil, in which 423 new patients were reported positive. Similarly, 634 patients recovered and were given discharge during the same period, and 14 persons died. The recovery rate showed an improvement from 95 percent to 97 percent while 120 patients are being treated presently, informed the district health officer, Dr Sudhakar Shelke.

All the containment zones in the district have been removed. The number of patients has not increased in the district in the past four days despite increased Covid tests. The daily increase in the number of patients in the past 15 days have not increased above 30. Three patients are being treated in Phulambri and Gangapur tehsils, one each at Soyegaon and Khuldabad. Out of the total 120 cases, the highest patients, 64 are in Aurangabad tehsil.

In all, 15136 patients have been reported in the nine tehsils so far, of which, 14693 recovered while 323 died, said Dr Shelke.
