Aurangabad, Dec 9:

The deputy director (education) has cancelled the registration of Vidyalankar Junior College, situated in Kingaon (of Phulambri tehsil) in the district. Meanwhile, the education officer (secondary) is instructed to absorb the admitted students in a nearby college on priority.

It is learnt that the department had sanctioned permission to run a junior college at Kingaon in 2018. However, the management was running the college in two rooms at Waregaon Shivar. When the incident came to light, the education officer conducted a spot inspection and found that no college at the sanctioned address (Kingaon). Hence, based on his report, the deputy director issued the above order on December 8.

The deputy director also intimated about the action taken report to the department of school education, director (education) and divisional secretary secondary and higher secondary education board.
