Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Maharashtra Rajya Shikshak Parishad demanded the immediate adjustment of surplus teachers and action against schools refusing to accept them.

In a memorandum submitted to the Divisional Deputy Director of Education, it was stated that a decision on old pension scheme proposals for teaching and non-teaching staff appointed before November 1, 2005, should be taken. The memorandum was submitted under the leadership of State Working President Ganesh Pawar.

The key demands included a decision on temporary pension proposals for retired teaching, immediate suspension of all activities on the Pavitra Portal for schools that refuse to accept adjusted surplus teachers, revise staffing approvals, so that those posts cannot be filled later and immediate withdrawal of non-salary grants and financial benefits to institutions and schools that have refused to accept transferred teachers.
