Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Training and Employment Cell of Deogiri College, run by the Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, organised a job fair on Sunday.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from undergraduate and postgraduate students, with over 600 registering. Of these, more than 230 students were directly selected by various companies, receiving annual packages ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 6 lakh.
Reputed companies from manufacturing, banking, education, pharmaceuticals, and the service sector participated.
Selection was carried out through written tests, skill assessments, and interviews. Participating companies included Dhoot Transmission Pvt. Ltd., Endurance Technology Ltd., Garware Hi-Tech Films, Pelux Skill, ACC Capsule, Deogiri Cooperative Bank, Vishwaprabodh, Pandit Jewellers and Deccan Military School.
MSP Mandal Secretary Satish Chavan, Acting Principal Dr Ravi Patil, and Vice Principals Dr Aparna Taware and Dr Ganesh Mohite congratulated the selected students. Placement Officer Laxman Taur, Computer Science Head Dr Ritesh Magare and Biotechnology Head Mahadev Jadhav were recognised for their efforts in making the event a success.
