Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
MIDC Waluj police have registered a case against six persons, including a husband, for allegedly harassing a married woman over a Rs 5 lakh demand.
Complainant Pallavi Ladhkat (Bajajnagar) alleged that her husband Yogendra Ladhkat, in-laws Sunita and Jagannath Ladhkat, sisters-in-law Rajshree Ladhkat and Kanchan Jagtap, and uncle-in-law Sudhir Ladhkat, all residents of Bhavani Peth, Pune, subjected her to physical and mental cruelty from May 2024 to January 2026. The accused allegedly demanded Rs 5 lakh from her parents to start a grocery shop, buy furniture and undertake construction. On her refusal citing financial constraints, she was allegedly assaulted, abused, denied food, threatened and driven out. Since May 20, 2024, she has been staying at her parental home, claiming continued threats over phone.
