Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University will organise various programmes including reading week, book festival, Ambedkar Jalsa, and blood donation camp, from April 7 to 14 as part of the birth anniversary celebration of Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.

The celebration will begin with the inauguration of 'Reading Week' on April 7. Journalist and poet Shridhar Nandedkar will deliver a lecture on 'Reading Culture'. A 'Poetry Reading' competition will be held on April 8. A blood donation camp will be organised on April 9.

Rahul Kosambi will deliver a lecture at Mahatma Phule Auditorium at 11 am, on April 11, on Krantisurya Mahatma Phule Jayanti. Renowned publishing houses in Marathi, Hindi, English and Urdu languages are participating in this book fair to be held on the lawn of the History Museum on the same day.

'Ambedkari Jalsa' will be held on April 12. The 'top five' teams from the Youth Festival will perform in this. The '18 Hours of Reading' initiative will be implemented in the reading room of the KRC.

A Shahiri program by renowned Shahir Nandesh Umap will be held at the auditorium on April 13. The festival will conclude on April 14.
