Companies and police administration have taken the initiative to curb vehicle theft in Waluj area. Under this initiative, digital locks were installed on the bikes of 60 workers of the Endurance company on Tuesday.

Several incidents have come to light of vehicle thefts of thieves targeting vehicles of company workers in the industrial area. To curb vehicle thefts, deputy commissioner of police Nikesh Khatmode-Patil, assistant commissioner Vivek Saraf held a meeting with MIDC Waluj police station PI Madhukar Sawant, PI Manoj Pagare, Waluj police station PI Sandeep Gurme and Daultabad station PI Rajarshi Aade. The meeting was also called on vendors of old vehicles and spare parts dealers. It was decided to issue notices to the parking contractors, hold surprise stops and searches, install pedals and wheel locks. and implement various measures to prevent vehicle theft.

Digital wire locks were installed on 60 two-wheelers of the workers of Endurance company (Plant No B-2) at Waluj. PI Sawant said that digital locks would be installed on the two-wheeler of industrial workers in phases.
