Aurangabad, May 4:
MGM Medical College and Hospital's Deputy-Dean Dr Praveen Suryavanshi and Dr Unmesh Takalkar from United CIIGMA Hospital were appointed member on the State Committee of Human Organ Transplantation.
The Human Organ Transplantation Act, 1994; the Human Organ Transplantation (Amendment) Act, 2011 as well as the Human Organ Transplantation Rules, 2014 incorporates in the establishment of the State Advisory Committee to provide necessary assistance and advice to the appropriate authorities for effective implementation of the Act in each State.
The previous advisory committee was dissolved in December 2019 and the state advisory committee was reconstituted. Dr Praveen Suryavanshi and Dr Unmesh Takalkar were appointed as a member on the advisory panel. Their appointment will be for the next two years.
