Aurangabad, Jan 1:

The election program of Aurangabad district central co-operative bank has finally been announced. The bank will elect a new board of directors in March. As per the court order, the state co-operative election authority has directed the deputy registrar of the co-operative societies to publish the draft electoral roll. Accordingly, the final voter list will be announced on January 23 and the election process will be completed in 45 days, informed district deputy registrar Anil Kumar Dabshede on Thursday.

Elections for all the co-operative societies in the state were postponed on the backdrop of corona. Meanwhile, a co-operative society had approached the court regarding the district bank election. Accordingly, the court had directed the state co-operative tribunal to take a decision in this regard. Accordingly, the tribunal has ordered to publish the draft voter list in connection with the election. Dabshede said that an order has been issued to prepare the voter list and the work will be done accordingly. The draft voter list will be released on January 4. A period of nine days from January 4 to 13 has been given for filing objections. The final voter list for the district bank will be published on January 23 after taking a decision on the objections received. Meanwhile, the election program has to be completed within 45 days from the announcement of the final list. Accordingly, after the release of the list, the election program will be prepared and approved by the authority, after which the date of election of the district bank will be announced. According to sources, the election program is likely to be announced in February.
