Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The preparations for the SSC and HSC examinations to be conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) have reached their final stage.

An online meeting regarding the examination preparations was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of the State’s Chief Secretary Rajesh Agarwal.

Divisional Board chairman Anil Sable said that instructions were issued in the meeting. He said that the Chief Secretary issued instructions that the recognition of centres that fail to install CCTV cameras in the classrooms for the examinations would be revoked next year.

Principal Secretary of the School Education Department Ranjit Singh Deol, Education Department Commissioner Sachindra Pratap Singh, State Board Chairman Trigun Kulkarni, along with all the District Collectors, Police Commissioners and Superintendents of police (SPs), Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officers, and Education Officers, including the Divisional Board chairmen, attended the meeting.

In this meeting, measures to conduct the examinations in a malpractice-free environment were discussed. Instructions were also given that SPs should pay attention to all sensitive centres, especially those that are highly preferred by students, where admissions for 10th and 12th grade increase at the last minute, and where there is a crowd of parents and relatives outside the centre.

Also, if flying squads find any malpractice, cognizable offences will be registered against those involved. Divisional Board Chairman Anil Sable also informed that a decision was taken to close down the centres that do not install CCTV cameras next year.
