Panic spread in Rajswapnapurti Apartment at Tisgaon on Wednesday afternoon after a fire broke out in the kitchen of a third-floor flat while a 12-year-old boy was alone at home. The boy alerted neighbours after noticing smoke and flames, following which residents informed the Waluj Fire Brigade.

The incident occurred in Flat No. D-307 of the MHADA Colony area on Tisgaon Road, where Vilas Ramnath Divte resides with his family. Fire personnel reached the spot within minutes and brought the blaze under control after nearly half an hour of efforts. The fire damaged the refrigerator, kitchen trolley, water filter, utensils, food grains, electric wiring, cables, and other household items. No injuries or casualties were reported. Fire brigade officer Anil Deshmukh, along with L.G. Brahmmankar, Sunil Patil, driver S.S. Kande, and P.D. Ghuge, participated in the rescue and firefighting operation.
