Aurangabad, April 15:

Flouting norms, the office-bearers of two leading parties used Subhedari Guest House for hosting a party for their supporters. It may be noted that the State Government started implementing strict lockdown from 8 pm on April 14 to contain the spread of COVID.

Hotels and restaurants were shut down in the lockdown. Violating norms, the office-bearers of two ruling parties hosted on the night of April 14. Around 30 to 40 persons gathered for the party. A dispute took place between two groups over money. They manhandled each other.

The matter reached Begumpura Police Station at night. Police rushed the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital.

It has come to light there was no official booking at Subhedari Guest House. Executive engineer of Public Works Department S B Bhagat issued orders that except VIP, no should be given concession in the booking.

Now, there is a question as to who gave the permission to office-bearers of both the parties. The whole incident was recorded in Closed Circuit TV cameras.

According to sources, police would be given footage of CCTV if the police demand it.

PWD Engineer Ingle said that the Guest House is not allotted to anyone without an advance booking.

“Since there is a lockdown, general booking was halted. I don’t know what happened on Wednesday night. The further step would be taken after obtaining the information of what happened there,” he added.
