Follow-up: Daulatabad Woman Murder Investigation Intensifies

The body of an unidentified woman, aged 55–60, was discovered Thursday in the Asegaon shivar area. Post-mortem confirmed she was murdered by strangulation and smothering, with the crime committed elsewhere and the body dumped on-site. Found near Maliwada–Asegaon road, she had a black thread tied to her leg and a white beaded chain on her wrist. Injuries near the ear suggest a possible staged robbery. Daulatabad police, led by senior inspector Somnath Jadhav, have circulated an AI-generated image to help identify her, and investigations continue.
