Four out of the eight demands of the Maratha community have not yet been fulfilled. The government's representatives had assured us that these demands would be addressed when we ended our protest. These demands should be resolved in the ongoing assembly session, said Manoj Jarange, the leader of the Maratha reservation movement, while speaking to reporters on Saturday.

Social Justice Minister Sanjay Shirsat visited him at the hospital on Saturday. Following this, Jarange spoke to the media. He stated that he informed Shirsat about the four pending demands of the Maratha community. He urged that the Maratha reservation issue and other community demands be raised in the assembly on Monday and that the CM and DCM be made aware of them. He pointed out that the committee led by Justice Sandeep Shinde has not yet commenced its work. He also highlighted that Maratha students under the SEBC (Socially and Educationally Backward Classes) category are not receiving scholarships. In response, Shirsat assured that a meeting on this issue would soon be held in Mumbai, Jarange said.
