Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

In a concerning incident, garbage dumped in the open was set on fire in broad daylight near Sangram Nagar flyover on Beed Bypass. Thick smoke spread across the area as the waste burned.

The fire was lit in an open ground where a large stock of pipes meant for an underground gas pipeline was also stored nearby. Due to the intense summer heat, the fire could have escalated and reached the pipes, potentially causing significant financial loss.

With increasing incidents of open garbage burning, the risk of serious hazards cannot be ruled out. Local residents have demanded strict action against those responsible for setting the waste on fire.
