Son-in-law attacks father-in-law over expense dispute

A domestic dispute over spilled tea led to an assault at Champa Chowk on April 22.

After arguing with his wife, the accused allegedly called and abused his father-in-law, asking him to come to the spot. When the father-in-law said he bore the expenses of his daughter and grandchild, the son-in-law attacked him with a sharp object, injuring a finger on his left hand. Following a complaint by Shaikh Ameen, a case has been registered against Syed Akbar at the city chowk police station.
