Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Devotional fervour marked the second day of the ‘Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram Katha’ organised at the Iskcon VECC Temple at Warud Phata on Saturday on the occasion of Purushottam Maas.

The celebration of ‘Shri Ram Janmotsav’ and soulful Gaudiya bhajans added to the spiritual atmosphere, leaving devotees deeply moved. International storyteller Lal Govind Das narrated the birth of Lord Ram in his engaging style and also explained the “Grishma Leela” of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu along with the significance of Lord Ram’s incarnation. Organisers said a large turnout of devotees is expected on Sunday as Purushottam Maas begins and it is also a holiday. Special arrangements, including bus services from various parts of the city, have been made. The discourse will be held from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm. Lokmat Media group editor in chief Rajendra Darda attended the programme as chief guest. Iskcon Annamrit Mumbai head Dr Radhakrishna Prabhu, Palika Mataji, industrialists Rishi Bagla and Manoj Bajaj, along with several dignitaries, were also present. The event is being organised under the leadership of committee president N K Gupta along with Rajkumar Agrawal, Rajesh Bharuka, Dr Vishal Ladania, Jagdish Agrawal, Govind Goyal, Vijay Goyal, and Rukmini Raman.
