Golden Jubilee 1-Act Play Festival to be kicked off today

The Department of Performing Arts of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University will organise its 50th four-day One-Act Play Festival. Vice-Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari will inaugurate the programme on January 19.

Shambhu Vishwasu, Cultural Officer, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation, will be the Chief Guest for the event. The one-act play festival will conclude at the Department of Performing Arts on January 22. A total of seven one-act plays will be presented during the festival.

The one-act play Bujgavan, written by Gopal Waghmare, will be staged as the inaugural performance of the festival on the first day.

Head of the Department Dr Vaishali Bodhele said that other plays to be presented include Ghar Doghanchan, Thanda Gosht, Plan Chat, Vakad, and Prem Ki Yatana.
