Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: In the passing of Madur Bajaj, we lost a humble, empathetic and noble personality whom I had the pleasure and privilege of knowing personally as a vendor. Even before it became a fashion to name suppliers as partners and associates, when he was heading Bajaj Auto Ltd, Waluj, he used to treat all suppliers with dignity – understanding their problems and extending all moral and material support. I still keep the personal appreciation letter (those days no e-mails) he sent to me in the 1990s for my contribution in making Sunny sprocket field complaints zero that time. A Bajaj, who was Madhur in his words and actions, is no more but he will continue to inspire all of us.
