Unidentified thieves broke into a ground-floor house in Ganesh Nagar and decamped with gold and silver ornaments along with cash.

The stolen items include a 7-gram gold necklace, 6-gram earrings, a 0.5-gram gold ‘Om’ pendant, a 1-gram nose ring, a 30-gram silver waist chain, 20-gram silver bangles, 20-gram silver anklets and Rs 40,000 in cash. The burglary came to light on the morning of April 22 at the residence of Sachin Tavale in Ganeshnagar. A case has been registered at the Pundliknagar police station, informed constable Gajanan Mante.
