Aurangabad, Nov 19:

The residents have gone to their native places to celebrate Diwali. The thieves are taking advantage of this opportunity, and three houses were burgled at N-4, Cidco, Pundliknagar and Devanagari areas. Cases have been registered at the Pundliknagar and Osmanpura police station in this regard.

Swapnil Bhimrao Tupe (21), a resident of Pundliknagar had gone to his village on November 11 for Diwali. Thieves broke his house and stole home theatre and three mobile phones. On November 17, Swapnil came and registered a case at Pundlinagar police station.

In another incident, thieves broke into the house of Rajendra Tatyarao Kshirsagar (54) at the N-4 Cidco area. They stole Rs 20,000 cash and jewelry amounting Rs 15,000. When Kshirsagar came back on November 17, he noticed the theft and lodged a complaint at the Pundliknagar police station.

Hiteshkumar Ashok Salve (32, Devanagari) had gone to his village when the thieves stole LED TV worth Rs 14,000. A case has been registered at Osmanpura police station.
