246 Municipal Corporation Vehicles Consume Fuel Worth Rs 75 L Per Month

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation has a total of 246 vehicles. The Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Leader of Opposition have been provided with corporation-owned vehicles. The chairman of the Standing Committee and House Leader have been given vehicles on a rental basis, with a monthly rent of Rs 90,000, excluding GST.

As department heads, 35 officers have been provided with four-wheelers, including 7 electric vehicles (EVs). Additionally, 208 four-wheelers are used for other day-to-day municipal operations.

The fuel consumption for all 246 vehicles amounts to Rs 70 to Rs 75 lakh per month, with the annual expenditure exceeding Rs 8 crore.
