Housewife runs away, marries another man in Gujarat
Aurangabad, Nov 7:
Fed up with the harassment from her husband, a 35-year-old housewife from Mandana in Sillod tehsil ran away to Gujarat and married another man.
Sillod Rural police brought the woman to Sillod from Gujarat and handed her over to her father. According to details, the woman Bharti Laad married to Bhagwan Ganapat Laad (40) eight years ago.
The couple had frequent quarrels. Bhagwan did not give her proper treatment and used to send her for works as labour. They had three children, two daughters and one sone. He would harass her after drinking liquor.
Even her father-in-law has an evil eye on her.Upset over this, she went to take darshan of Jogeshwari Devi with her aunt on September 26, 2018, and but did not return home. She ran away to Gujarat.Hari Bansi Abhag (60) had lodged a missing complaint of his daughter with police.
On receiving information, a police team comprising PSI Pandit Ingle, constable Bhaginath Wagh, Sachin Sonar, Deepak Ingle, Mushtaq Shaikh, Rahul Salve, Seeta Thakne under the guidance of sub-divisional police officer Sudarshan Munde, API from Sillod Rural Police Station Kiran Bidwe reached Gujarat and found her after a search.
She told police that she does not want to return her first husband or parents in Sillod as she is happy with her second husband. Since there was a missing complaint, police brought her to Sillod handed over to her father.
Bharti Lad said that she met Manji Manga Thapda (Veera,Anjar,Kutch) in Gujarat. They fell in love with each other and married. They have a son now.She said that she was living a happy married life and wished to live with her second husband.
Sillod police said that her first husband is ready to accept and live with her; however, the woman wants to live with her second husband.Kiran Badwe said that the woman and her second husband were living on a desert of Kutch which is on Pakistan border.
“They had no mobile phone. We searched for her a lot and found her. The villagers opposed to bringing the woman her. We convinced them and brought her here. Bharti does not want to live with her first husband,” he added.
