Illegal power reconnection proves costly

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A total of 14 electricity consumers were booked with police for illegally reconnecting their power supply after it was disconnected due to pending dues.
A similar action was taken against eight customers last week. This crackdown has sent shockwaves among electricity thieves.
The power supply of 14 consumers from Chikalthana, Hanuman Chowk, Chaudhary Colony, Savitrinagar, and Cidco N-2 areas was temporarily disconnected due to outstanding dues. When Assistant Engineer Dnyanoba Rathod and his team visited for inspection, they found the consumers had illegally reconnected their supply.
This is a cognisable offence. Based on Rathod's complaint, cases were registered against 14 accused at the Cidco Police Station late Tuesday night.

Do Not Supply Unauthorised Electricity
No one should illegally reconnect the power supply. Neighbours must also not provide unauthorised electricity to customers whose supply has been disconnected. Otherwise, their electricity will also be disconnected and legal action will be taken.
