The Marathwada association of small scale industries and agriculture (Massia) convened a meeting with senior officials of Maharashtra state electricity distribution company limited (MSEDCL) to address ongoing electricity issues in the city’s industrial areas.

Massia president Gajanan Deshmukh highlighted frequent power interruptions in Waluj, Chikalthana and Shendra, attributing them to staff shortages, ageing infrastructure and overloaded feeders. Industrialists said recurring outages are disrupting production and causing financial losses. The association also demanded replacement of outdated equipment, improved maintenance, dedicated mobile service units and speedy completion of pre-monsoon works to ensure uninterrupted supply. MSEDCL officials assured that the concerns would be examined and necessary steps taken. Both sides agreed to maintain regular coordination to resolve industrial power issues.
