Industrial sector welcome centre's package

Aurangabad, June 29:

The central government on Monday set aside Rs 6,28,993 crore to give a much needed boost to the industries and also give a much needed push to the economy. The decision is being welcomed by the industrial sector as the government has fulfilled their long pending demand.

The finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman extended the production link scheme till 2025-26, benefiting the electronics industry. Funds of Rs 61,109 crore have also been allotted for the digital India scheme, while funds of Rs 19,042 crore have been provided for the Digital India project benefiting Startups. Incentives have been provided for the Bharat Net, and the work of installation of internet connections has been completed in 1.50 lakh Gram Panchayats. Financial assistance of Rs 33,000 crore to 212 export projects of exporters from Nation Expert Insurance Account (NEIA) has also been granted. The package will provide a big relief to the industrial sector. Similarly, free visas to 5 lakh foreign tourists to boost the tourism sector. An additional provision of Rs 23,220 crore has been made for the health system. Also tourism companies will be eligible to procure loans upto Rs 10 lakh while tourist guides will be eligible for Rs 1 lakh loan.

Entrepreneurs will be relieved

The central government has announced financial assistance for industries and the tourism sector. The industrial sector was demanding a special package to help them recover from the financial crisis. The industries in Marathwada had received Rs 2,000 crore from the Rs 20,000 crore package announced by the central government in the past financial year. We hope that this package will also benefit the entrepreneurs and also boost the tourism sector, said Massia president Narayan Pawar.
