Power supply was disrupted around 10 pm on Sunday in parts of Jawahar Colony, including Uttamnagar, Vishnunagar and Trimurti Chowk. Electricity was restored after nearly 20 minutes, but the supply was again cut off around 11 pm, leaving the area in darkness.

The outage caused considerable inconvenience amid the prevailing heat, with residents across age groups affected. On contacting Mahavitaran, officials stated that repair work was underway. Residents expressed anger, noting that frequent nightly power cuts have become routine in the area over the past few days.
