Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Jiteshkumar Hinhoriya Premjibhai (44, Kanchanwadi) was settled in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and was an expert in the manufacturing of narcotic substances. The company owners used to provide money and Jiteshkumar used to do the complete setup of the manufacturing unit. The business used to be conducted in a partnership between him and the owner. He also worked for such companies on salary and sometimes on a specific share in the profit. He implemented the Gujarat pattern of manufacturing drugs in the company at Paithan and others by providing them with the manufacturing drugs. He established a drug nexus in the entire district.

The investigating agency is suspicious that he has helped around four to five persons to establish a setup. The officers investigated such a suspected company in Waluj industrial area on Monday. The number of accused in the drug case is likely to increase.

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) Ahmedabad zonal office officers and Gujarat police crime branch stationed in the city for the past 15 days to find the drug manufacturing factories. They received the information about Jiteshkumar from a drug peddler caught recently. After gaining concrete evidence against him, the team conducted a raid on his bungalow in the Kanchanwadi area on October 19. After the investigation of around 10 hours, the team received the information of the other accused Sandeep Shankar Kamawat (40, Waluj). Based on the information, a raid was conducted on a factory in the Paithan MIDC area and 44 Kgs of Cocaine, Mephedrone and Ketamine worth Rs 250 crore were seized. Similarly, raw material worth Rs 250 crore was also seized.

Jiteshkumar kingpin of manufacturing

Jiteshkumar used to manufacture and sell Mephedrone, Cocaine. These included narcotic medicine substances. However, no one was aware that these drugs were being manufactured in the city. Jiteshkumar has implemented the Gujarat pattern of manufacturing drugs.

23K litre raw chemical

DRI team conducted a raid on a chemical company in the Waluj area on Monday. The local police had provided them security and also deployed a strict bandobast outside the factory. After the officers entered the company, the entry to others was banned. The officers found confidential documents and around 23,000 litres of chemicals used for manufacturing, the sources said.

Initially work on salary

Initially, Jiteshkumar worked as a salaried employee but later sold the manufacturing formula to the company owners. Kamawat and other company owners also get involved due to the huge profit in manufacturing. Factories were set up in the name of manufacturing medicines. They used to legally manufacture medicine but also used to manufacture narcotic drugs in the setup established by Jiteshkumar.

Sold drugs outside the state

In this nexus, the drugs manufactured here were sold in very little quantity at the local level, but the large quantity was smuggled to other places outside the state. As the market was not in the city, the local drug peddlers were not aware of the manufacturing. This fact could not come out of the companies as huge money was spent on it, the officers opined.

Panchnama for 3 hours

Jiteshkumar tried to commit suicide on Sunday. He complained of stomach ache and went to the toilet on three occasions. However, he did not come out of the toilet on the fourth occasion for a long time and the officers came to know that he had cut his throat and hand. He tried to commit suicide due to depression or defamation, the officers suspected. Cidco police station API Manojkumar Shinde went to the DRI local office on Monday and conducted a Panchanama and took information of the incident from the officers.
