Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Two kidneys of a brain-dead patient from Parbhani were transported to a private hospital in the city on Saturday via a green corridor for transplantation.

Bhagwan Rambhau Pathrikar (57), a resident of Pathri (Parbhani), had been admitted to a hospital in Parbhani for treatment, where doctors later declared him brain-dead. Meanwhile, upon receiving information that patients with a matching blood group were awaiting kidney transplants at a private hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the organ donation process was initiated promptly.

A team of kidney transplant specialists travelled to Parbhani to complete the necessary procedures for organ retrieval. The timely organ donation has raised hope of a new lease of life for the patients in need.
