Last day of Zilla Parishad election campaigning today

Public campaigning for the ZP and panchayat samiti elections will conclude on Thursday, February 5. Candidates are set to intensify campaigning across the district on the final day.

Polling for the ZP and panchayat samiti elections will be held on February 7, while counting of votes will take place on February 9. Public campaigning has been underway for the past eight days. Candidates from all political parties have been reaching out to voters through padayatras, meetings and public rallies at various places every day. Candidates from the BJP, Shinde Sena, Uddhav Sena, AIMIM, along with other parties, are in the fray, with senior leaders actively participating in the campaign. The election is being held to choose members from 63 ZP groups (gut) and 126 panchayat samiti constituencies (gan). A total of 830 candidates are contesting across the district, including 282 candidates for the ZP groups(gut).
