In view of the festivals of Gudi Padwa and Akshaya Tritiya, a three-day Lokmat Property Show has been organised at Lokmat Bhavan to provide citizens with information about various housing projects by leading developers in the city. The exhibition was inaugurated on Friday by mayor Sameer Rajurkar in the presence of other dignitaries.

Citizens interested in purchasing their dream home need not visit multiple locations, as information about more than 100 housing projects by reputed developers is available under one roof. The property show, which began on Friday at Lokmat Bhavan, features stalls showcasing projects from the city as well as Pune.

The exhibition was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by mayor Sameer Rajurkar in the presence of deputy mayor Rajendra Janjal, municipal commissioner G. Sreekanth, CREDAI president Sangram Patare, Inspira Group’s Anand Agrawal, Nabhraj Group’s Rajesh Butole, and Bhaishree Group’s Dr Praveen Somani. Prior to the inauguration, dignitaries released colourful balloons into the air. The ceremony also included a floral tribute to veteran freedom fighter late Jawaharlal Darda and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest.

Extending his wishes, mayor Rajurkar said that a public participation campaign would be undertaken to make the city beautiful and clean, and appealed to citizens to actively participate. He noted that with world-famous heritage sites such as Ellora and Ajanta located in the district, special efforts would be made to strengthen the city’s branding from a tourism perspective.

Deputy mayor Janjal assured that efforts would be made in the coming period to give the city a truly smart identity. Municipal commissioner G. Sreekanth said organising the property exhibition on the occasion of Gudi Padwa, marking the new year, was a commendable initiative by Lokmat. He added that the DMIC would accelerate the city’s development and that the municipal corporation is undertaking significant work. However, he emphasised the need to focus on the development of villages under the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Development Authority that fall outside the municipal limits. On the occasion, CREDAI president Patare, Dr Somani, and Butole also shared their views and expressed the expectations of the real estate sector. The introductory address was delivered by Lokmat editor Nandkishor Patil.
