M Phil merit list declared

Aurangabad, Nov 24: Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University declared the merit list of M Phil admissions on Monday.

Around 1,108 candidates appeared for the test conducted on November 20 and declared its result on November 21. The merit list was announced yesterday.

As many as 18 departments including Marathi, English, Hindi, History, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Journalism and MBA offer M Phil course. There is an intake of 20 seats in each department. The highest number of candidates (154) have registered in the Political Science Department.

A meeting, chaired by vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole, was held in the university on November 21 to discuss the further admission process. Pro-VC Dr Shyam Shirsath, chairman of the admission committee Capt Dr Suresh Gaikwad, deputy registrar of the examination department Dr Ganesh Manza were present. Deputy registrar Dr Digamber Netke and others took efforts for holding the test successfully.
