A dispute over vacating a house turned violent after a man allegedly attacked his brother and sister-in-law with a knife in the Rozabagh area on Sunday evening. City Chowk police have registered a case in connection with the incident.

The accused have been identified as Shaikh Shahrukh and his wife, Shaikh Simran, both residents of Rozabagh. According to the complaint lodged by Saba Shaikh, her husband had asked his brother Shahrukh when he would vacate the house that was registered in his name. An argument ensued over the issue. While Saba was attempting to intervene and calm the situation, Shahrukh allegedly attacked her with a knife near her eye, leaving her injured. The complaint further states that the accused’s wife verbally abused them and issued death threats. Further investigation is underway.
