Man duped of Rs 1.60 lakh on pretext of job abroad
Aurangabad, Nov 5:
An unemployed youth was duped of Rs 1.60 lakh on the pretext of an AC technician job abroad. A case has been registered against a woman in this connection at the Jinsi police station.
Police said Javed Khan Nazir Khan, a youth from Kiradpura was in search of a job. A woman contacted him on November 25, 2018 and lured him with the promise to get him a job abroad as an AC technician. She gained his confidence by telling him the procedure of applying for the job. She took a total amount of Rs 1.60 lakh from him, stating various reasons. Later, she sent fake job offer letter, visa and air ticket through email and Whatsapp.
Meanwhile, Javed realized that the documents sent to him are forged and he has been taken for a ride. When he tried to contact the woman, her phone was switched off. Hence, he lodged a complaint at the Jinsi police station on Wednesday. PI, Rajesh Mayekar is further investigating the case.
