The The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has prepared a plan for building 5,500 flats in Chikalthana, Nakshatrawadi and Auric City. The industry department has also agreed to provide 7.50 hectares of land to MHADA.
In the near future, 425 houses will be constructed in the Chikalthana area through MHADA. Efforts are underway to provide 13.28 hectares of land at Waluj-Tisgaon. MHADA's Aurangabad division has prepared a plan for 5,500 affordable flats at Chikalthana, Nakshatrawadi and Auric City. Housing projects will be launched in all the three places soon. MHADA had also decided to undertake housing projects in the Zalta area. But that project did not begin. Over 8,226 applications were received for 864 flats in Aurangabad division. The draws were released last week. Following the response to the draws, new housing projects will be undertaken in three places.
Approval from the industry department
To date, many have got their rightful homes through MHADA housing initiatives. In future, about 425 houses will be constructed in the Chikalthana area. Moreover, guardian minister Desai in his recent visit had stated that approval has been given by the industry department for allotment of seven and a half hectares of land to MHADA in the world-class industrial city of Auric.
