Aurangabad, Dec 5:

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has demanded the Aurangabad cantonment board to clean up the Indira Gandhi ground. The memorandum submitted to the board chief executive officer Vikrant More states that the ground near the weekly market is the only ground for the kids and sports players in the cantonment area. But for the last few days, the citizens of the area have been dumping garbage on the ground. Also, the waste from the firecracker market is still lying on the ground. The ground has also become a safe haven for drunkards who throw glass bottles on the ground. Hence players are not able to use the ground. The board must conduct a regular cleaning drive and action should be taken against those who throw garbage here. The MNS has warned to agitate if the demands are not met. The statement was signed by Feroz Syed, Shankar Bhandari and other activists.
