Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Power supply in the N-4 and Parijatnagar areas of Cidco was disrupted for nearly two hours on Thursday night, triggering anger among residents. Electricity supply, which went off around 8 pm, was restored around 10 pm.

Residents said a similar outage had also occurred in the N- 4 area on Wednesday midnight. According to sources, the outage was caused after the current transformer at the Cidco N-4 substation came under excessive load and started emitting smoke shortly after midnight on Wednesday. Power supply was restored after nearly an hour, but around 4,000 to 5,000 consumers were affected during the disruption. However, on Thursday evening, power supply again failed in the N-4 and Parijatnagar areas, leading to fresh inconvenience for residents.
