Traffic woes at the Shivajinagar underpass continue to intensify, with heavy vehicles getting stuck almost daily, bringing traffic to a standstill.
During peak hours, vehicles from opposite directions face gridlock within the narrow passage. Commuters told Lokmat Times that the situation inside feels suffocating and extremely difficult to navigate. On Sunday around 1 pm, a truck (MH-22-AA-3441) got stuck in the iron frame near Deolai Chowk. After several failed attempts to move forward, it was reversed and taken out. Vehicle queues stretched up to the Shivajinagar water tank, while Devlai Chowk also came to a halt. Traffic remained disrupted for over an hour, with motorists expressing anger over the substandard construction.
