Mukundwadi police have registered a case against Bharat alias John Shankar Tirth for allegedly robbing a medical shop owner and his salesman at knifepoint in Jai Bhavani Nagar and threatening them with death if they approached police.

On April 29 around 7 pm, the accused entered Dilip Pawar’s medical store in Lane No. 11, asked for an energy drink and chocolate, and when asked to pay, allegedly held a knife to Pawar’s stomach and forcibly took Rs 1,000 from the cash counter. He warned Pawar against filing a complaint and threw the empty bottle at him before fleeing. On May 9, he returned when salesman Yogesh was present, sought medicine for a leg injury, and on being told the owner was absent, allegedly held a knife to Yogesh’s hand and took Rs 200. Following the second incident within 15 days, Pawar lodged a complaint. Police have begun a search for the accused.
