Aurangabad, Feb 2:

The Rajya Sabha MP, Dr Bhagwat Karad, has demanded to establish one more Kendriya Vidyalay School (KVS) in Aurangabad.

In a memorandum to the union Minister of State (Education) Sanjay Dhotre, the MP underlined that most students taking education in existing KVS are the wards of the army personnel and Central Government employees. As a result, the children of common man does not get admission in it. Hence there is a dire to have one more KVS in the city.

Through a memorandum to the district collector Sunil Chavan, Karad also urged him to provide the necessary land for setting up one more KVS.

Meanwhile, the district collector had forwarded the letter to the Public Works Department (PWD) and Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) for further action.

According to the MP, " PWD does not have required land, but the AMC had a pool of land and can be utilised for educational purposes."
