Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

As temperatures continue to rise, the forest department has undertaken effective measures to meet the water needs of wildlife. Around 250 natural waterholes have been created in the region, providing much-needed relief to animals.

The forest department is refilling these water sources every eight days, ensuring that wildlife has access to water even during intense heat. This initiative is also helping prevent the migration of animals in search of water.

Forest officials and staff are closely monitoring the situation across the Marathwada region to avoid any inconvenience to wildlife. Water storage ponds have been planned in each area, and tanker services are being used to maintain adequate supply.

Deputy conservator of forests Suvarna Mane said that this initiative is proving to be significant from an environmental conservation perspective.
