Ph D admission of 2 candidates to be cancelled over bogus documents

The administration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) decided to cancel the Ph D admission of two candidates over bogus M Phil certificate degree submissions.
Pro-vice chancellor Dr Walmik Sarwade said that complaints were lodged against the duo with Begumpura Police Station for cheating the university with bogus documents.
Bamu implemented admission process for Ph.D two years ago. In this process, two people associated with Kohinoor Education Society in Khuldabad submitted fake documents of M Phil degree and also took admission to Ph D.
Khan Asma Idris did registration for Ph D in English and Pathan Maqsood Khan Anwar Khan registered in Hindi.
Upon receiving information that a fake M. Phil degree certificate was submitted, the university sent the M Phil degree certificate and mark sheet to Dr D Y Patil University (Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune) on March 13 and sought information and verification.
Dr D Y Patil University was contacted and requested to verify the authenticity of the documents and send an immediate reply. After this, a reply was received on behalf of this university on the official mail of Registrar Dr Prashant Amritkar,at 5.50 pm, on Tuesday.
Registrar of the concerned university Dr J S Bhawalkar, also sent a letter (inward no - D.PU/329/2025 dated 25 March 24).
Of these, Khan Asma Idris submitted certificate of M Phil in English and Pathan Maqsood Khan Pathan Anwar Khan certificate of M.Phil in Hindi. Both of them have fake degree certificates dated August 2020 and August 2017 respectively and they have never take admission to the university.
The M.Phil degree is not available in Dr D Y Patil University. Also, the Legal Officer of the concerned university also sent a letter to Sant Tukaram Nagar Police Station against the bogus degree.
Both the candidates took admissions to Ph D in English and Hindi subjects in Bamu.
Vijay More, Deputy Registrar of the Examinations Department, lodged a complaint at Begumpura Police Station, alleging that both of them cheated the university through forged documents.
The admissions of both candidates will be cancelled.
