Aurangabad, June 1:

A youth had threatened through social media Facebook of committing self-immolation at the city's Government office on June 1 for the Maratha reservation. Taking its notice, the police department deployed force at ten Government departments. All heaved a sigh of relief after police nabbed the youth.

The youth identified as Mangesh Sable (Gevrai Paiga, Phulambri) announced through 'Facebook Live', 15 days ago that Maratha reservation cancellation is not acceptable to him and he would commit self-immolation in the Government office but did not disclose its name. He was untraceable for police, because of which police were alert. Police bandobast was maintained at the ten Government offices, including the divisional commissioner, district collector, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation, Zilla Parishad, District Court, High Court and Cidco. Policemen were keeping an eye on each person in the office. Meanwhile, police nabbed Sable at Saungi Toll Naka in the afternoon when he was proceeding towards the city.
