A businessman refilling a domestic gas cylinder in Sinhagad Colony was nabbed by Cidco police in a raid in N-6 area on Sunday afternoon. Police have seized nine domestic and three small cylinders.

According to police, the arrested businessman is identified as Pradip Tulshiram Patil (36, Sinhagad Colony, M-38/3, N-6, Cidco). Nine domestic cylinders worth Rs 7,300 and 3 kg cylinders and other material were seized from his house. Patil used to attach a wall to a 14 kg cylinder for domestic use and fill gas in a small 3 kg cylinder of different companies.

PI Ashok Giri received information about the illegal business. Accordingly, Giri and his team raided the place. A case has been registered at Cidco police station on the complaint of PSI Balasaheb Aher.

The action was taken under the guidance of Ashok Giri by PSI Aher, constable Dinesh Ban, Narsingh Pawar, Prakash Dongre, Swapnil Ratnaparkhi, Suresh Bhise, Vishal Sonwane and supply officer Baban Awale. The case is being further investigated by PSI Ratan Doiphode.
