Principals held meeting to discuss CBSE schools reopening

Aurangabad, June 15:

A meeting of principals of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools was held at Nath Valley School this afternoon to discuss various issues relating to guidelines for admissions, teacher training, collection of fees and resumption of online and offline schooling.

CBSE principals of the city under the umbrella of the 'Aurangabad Sahodaya School Complex' unanimously decided that parents would have to clear fees of the last session as per Supreme Court ruling and guidelines. The principals also decided that no new admissions from class two onwards would be given with a transfer certificate from the previous school.

A principals and teachers training workshop will be organised in July. The principals also unanimously agreed that the district administration must give serious thought to children's mental health who are facing huge behavioural issues due to prolonged lockdown and online schooling.

They said it was important for the administration to consider reopening schools in a graded manner from next Monday.

It was also decided that a letter of request would be submitted to the administration to give permission to reopening of schools.
